(I was tagged by @cybersteal and @arcandoria for this a long while ago, and got real carried away with this idea xD also inspired by everyone else who took the "interview" bit a bit more literally, so yes! :D thank y'all for the great ideas and being an inspiring af fandom!)

Juanita Tseng: V, thank you so much for taking the time today, so happy to have you here! Let me ask, is that your full name?

V: Hah. Well, obviously not, but it’s served me well for many years now.

J: Any special story behind it?

J: What’s not a secret is that most of our viewers only know you as “mystery man” so far, at least that’s how the scream sheets often choose to refer to you. How do you feel about that?

V: Well, nothing I could say against either. I like my privacy and I’m a man, so they got that right at least.

J: Hahaha, that’s fair! Even more so I’m glad we’re getting the opportunity to get to know you a bit better today. As I told you in advance, there’s some burning questions our viewers have, and everyone’s been eagerly submitting them already as we speak. So, without further ado, let’s get to the first one. When is your birthday?

V: It’s in June, but I’d like to leave it at that.

J: Interesting! Gemini or Cancer?

V: Whichever is the one that comes first.

J: That’s fair! Alright, how tall are you?

J: Who is taller?

V: Me of course.

J: Of course! Okay, next question… Ah! Let’s stay on the topic of Kerry for a moment longer. From my last interview with him we know you two met through a mutual friend.

V: That’s right.

J: How did it go? Was it love at first sight, or more of a slow burn?

V: Well, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t attracted to him when we first met. But it wasn’t love at first sight, no, more… curiosity. We crossed paths a few more times, also thanks to that friend, and got to know each other better like that. We just clicked. That’s all there is to it really.

J: Awwww, that's so sweet! Now, it’s no secret that Kerry has led a quite adventurous life and there is a bit of an age gap separating you. So, I gotta ask:

J: Only men?

V: Yup. And now the next question please, cause none of it matters.

J: Hahaha, sorry, I know I’m such a tease! But we gotta ask our viewer’s questions! Speaking of which, one of them is curious about your upbringing and cultural heritage!

V: Now that’s a 180° turn. Born and raised in and by Night City. Can’t say much about cultural heritage, as it’s a bit of a mix of many things.

V: Mh-hm.

J: Let me see… would you be up for some quick shotgun-style questions?

V: Ready when you are.

J: Favourite season?

V: Anything that doesn’t involve sandstorms.

J: Favourite flower?

V: Lotus.

J: Favourite Scent?

V: Clean bedsheets.

J: Average hours of sleep?

V: I aim to get at least 7.

J: Numer of Blankets you sleep with?

V: One or none.

J: Favourite Fictional Character?

V: Oh no, uuuhh… Hmm… No, I can’t just choose one.

J: Haha, that’s alright. Would you say you’re a bit of a nerd?

V: Oh yeah, unashamedly. Me getting started about my favorite fictional characters would be a whole interview on its own.

J: What would be your dream trip?

V: Hmmm… Kerry asked me to come along for his tour next year. I imagine that could be fun.

Thank you again for the tags! This was so much fun and really turned into its own thing beyond an OC ask meme XD I did this meme before with some slightly different and/or more in-depth answers for anyone curious [here] cause like stated back then, how Vince replies to personal questions always strongly depends on who's asking. And he might be more or less truthful about the information given or keep it all very surface-level instead, too.

For this lil story here the idea was obviously that the whole interview is basically just a promo thing for Kerry's upcoming tour xD So of course Vince is gonna support his bf if it helps boost ticket sales XDD A year earlier he might not have done it even then, because he was veeery reluctant about having their relationship be known beyond telling their closest friends. But here at this point some time in mid-to-late 2078, he'd feel secure enough with his life, their ilfe really, that he wouldn't mind being seen in the public together like this and also "outing" himself like that in front of a larger audience, for lack of a better word. It's the character growth and support of each other and a love language and everything \o/

We have had another Trespasser Weirdness Incident at my house, so. Suffice it to say that the Hot & Vintage Movie Women tournament is my primary coping mechanism at this point, and bless @hotvintagepoll for all their work. All 257 polls are up, although many of them have already closed on a rolling basis these last two weeks. Hedy Lamarr vs Sonja Henie was the very last one, and it is a blowout like I have not seen since the time I asked if people throw away their movie theater trash. I think round 2 starts a week from Monday? I would like to apologize for reblogging every single poll, except that I’m not the least bit sorry. 

I posted propaganda several times--sometimes just because a contestant didn’t have much and I wanted to chip in (still in play: Juanita Moore and Martha Sleeper). But I also showed up specifically for Norma Shearer, Claire Bloom, Tallulah Bankhead, Deborah Kerr, a little bit for Joan Fontaine (poll here), Julie Christie (on my mom’s behalf), Gene Tierney, Paulette Goddard, and Ava Gardner. My loyalties will shift as we see who progresses, but I'm wearing the Ava jersey at this point.

do you anything planned for adult ryanne, post-hss?

On the one hand, yes, I do! I can see her future pretty easily, her relationships and her career and all of that. I was actually thinking about making a ref about her post graduation once I get over this pneumonia and finish my secret santa thing lol

But on the other hand, and I think I mentioned this before in a shit post, it's... Weird to think about Ryanne after high school. Because I think high school is where she... Not peaked, but shined. I think she really had to adjust after graduation to being more isolated. Ryanne is one of my OC's where I just want her to be happiest and for the most part that's here. At least consistency wise.

So, according to choices, autumn goes to Juanita College in PA, Julian's going to Ohio State (boooooo), Ezra's going to Texas University, Koh's going to community college (I envision hss taking place in California), Wes is going to Cedar State (I have literally never heard of this place and the only one I could find is in PA), Nishan and Sakura are going to Rutherford University (nishan says it's on the west Coast but the only university I could find is in NC? Idk), Max is going to University of Michigan (🥳), and Kara is going to Hollywood U. Payton takes a year off to go backpacking before she goes to American University in DC. (No mention of mia or katherine, though. For MY LORE, Mia goes to Michigan State and Katherine goes to julliard)

Now, what about Ryanne?

Ryanne becomes a teacher. She adores her school and wants to be a part of that environment for years to come. I picture her getting a master's degree in English with a minor in communications. Where from? I'm not sure! I think UMich would be fun, Max can never escape her, plus it's one of the top teaching schools.

The sheer scale of UMich is a big adjustment for her. She's used to knowing everybody and being a big figure in the community and this is a place where she's nobody. I envision this being a period of personal growth for her. She learns to set boundaries and focus on herself here or else her course load overwhelms her. She still sees Julian, Autumn, and Wes fairly often, as well as Max and Mia, but her contact with them fizzles out during the school year. She still texts everyone fairly often, but it's passing acknowledgement and a "hey we're still friends by the way!" Thrown in.

Once she graduates, I'm thinking around 24, she moves back to California. Her and Wes were still dating through college, those two are 4 lifers, and they move in together when they're around 26 and both have more financial stability.

Ryanne and Wes definitely get married! I also picture them having kids but waiting a while, until they're in their late 20's/early 30's. I think they have 3 kids, two girls and one boy, though I don't know what their names are yet. Much to ponder.

I like to think that once a year or so the friend group comes back together for a weekend get away or something. These kids were all so important to each other that I don't accept them drifting apart, plus I think Ryanne would hold them together through sheer spite >:)

The light of her comms blinks a bit and the entire thing buzzes with ends of juana's arrival, tilin unfortunately is still face down- and having a terrible time to be honest. Her chest is beating so loudly she can hear her heart in her ears, and her cheeks are wet with how many tears she's been shedding.

She didn't like people being upset at her for, anything really. But especially not tallulah being upset with her for making a joke- a funny one at that! It's not her fault tallulah didn't think to look at anyone else's posts before coming at her. Nor was it her fault that her blogging was at the top.

She flipped over, and decided not to feel sorry for herself when she could hear trumpets sobs. She was still by the base of the tree after falling out of it, and she didn't know why she thought it was a good idea in the first place. But it was okay- because she now could see flippa running towards her.

Sitting up she tried to grin. "Juanita!! Everyone else is over there." And she points to the middle of the clearing, and the scene that was unfolding over there.

Mario Legacy Challenge: 1989

Last year, Mario's sister Pauline aged up into a teen and got a new music player as a birthday present. Mario and Luigi are still working on their childhood aspirations.

One Monday morning, Pauline is the first member of the Mario family to wake up. She starts to eat breakfast while the others are still sleeping.

Lady plays some basketball with her sister Luigeena, who came to visit.

Mario decides to listen to some music he likes. After a while, Luigi joins him and starts dancing.

Does Emmalyn Winters have a love interest now?

(I did get a thing saying the date was a success. However, iirc when I checked Emmalyn's relationships panel, Raiden wasn't even there. Also I think Raiden might be an MCCC or Neighborhood Stories generated son of Dennis Kim or something, I'm not really sure since I don't have the game open at the moment.)

Feeling flirty, Lady thinks about the possibility of getting into a new relationship.

It's been about a year and half since her husband Jumpman died. She of course still misses him and wishes he was alive.

As a child, Pauline disliked fitness, but now she is starting to like it. Maybe not as much as her brothers, but still to some extent.

One day after school, Mario invites over his classmate Juanita. They both like video gaming, so they decide to play a game on the Mario brothers' NES.

In the summer of 1989, the Marios travel to the Seaside Kingdom, where they spend some time with the Parata & Kato family (they were Jumpman's neighbors like 20 years ago). I'm not sure if they already knew about Jumpman's death before this point, but they certainly do now.

Pauline orders some food from a nearby food stall.

The Marios talk with Caitlin and Rhonda while their parents (or stepfather in Caitlin's case) have gone somewhere else.

Since it is the Seaside Kingdom, the Mario siblings also spend some time swimming.

While everyone else has gone somewhere else, it's now just Lady and Caitlin in the house. They are becoming closer friends now.

Also, did you know that Caitlin is actually closer in age to Lady than she is to her younger half-sister Rhonda? That's right, Lady is 8½ years older than Caitlin, while Caitlin is 10 years older than Rhonda.

Some time after returning home, the Marios go to a library, but it seems that Pauline is the only one actually looking for books.

Lady finally gets to work on her writing skill on a computer.

Lady is not the only one using the computers. Mario does as well in order to practice typing (all of this typing stuff is required for his childhood aspiration). After all, before he can teach typing, he has to learn it first.

After a quick nap and pondering chess moves to get in a focused mood, Luigi does his homework. (Normally I don't bother with the kids' homework due to the good schools trait, but Luigi needs it for his aspiration.)

After Luigi is done with his homework, he and Pauline play a game of chess. Despite Luigi having the mental skills aspiration, he still loses.

Marianne visits the Marios... and she looks quite annoyed for some reason.

After typing, the only thing Mario needs to complete his childhood aspiration is some time on the monkey bars.

One day near the end of the year, Pauline feels the need to learn more about her father. Maybe she looks at some stuff her family has, I don't really know for sure. But while she does, she imagines Jumpman being there. She can imagine him telling her about... the Kongs, I assume.

And now he tells Pauline about how he's happy and owns an amazing car...

Maybe Pauline got a bit too carried away with the imagining.

Pauline decides it's for the best if she just goes to sleep.

Sorry for the wait! Got busy with other stuff sksk but these were fun! I included Ivy Nicole with the other ocs because I love her and I feel I can never talk about her too much! I also included a new oc that hasn't been named yet (edit: his name is Harvey Reyes now😁) but I really like him and thought this would be a great time to develop him some!

🔧 WRENCH - are they good at fixing relationships? or do they tend to avoid doing so?

Ivy Nicole- She is terrible at fixing anything. Romantic relationships. Platonic relationships. Familial. She always thinks the worst of herself, so it's easy for her to be pushed around in all kinds of directions. Tell her she's at fault and she'll believe you 100% and do anything she can to make it up to the person. She just desperately wants to be loved. So no, she's not great about fixing relationships technically. Her fixing is just begging the people in her life to tell her what she did wrong so she can make amends.

Harvey- He's always been sensitive. He wants everyone to be happy. He will do anything to make the people he cares about smile and tell him he's doing good. He's very much like a pet dog. He gets too attached and takes it really hard when people are upset with him. So yes, he tries to fix relationships to a fault.

Ernesto- He's not afraid to ask people about their feelings. He wants to know how to make things better. Just don't expect him to open up. He can't do that, but he always has the best intentions with those he cares about the most. So yeah he's alright at fixing relationships but only when it fits into what he views as fixing things.

Juanita- She is good about expressing her feelings and asking about others'. She's not afraid to admit when she does something wrong. She just wants things to work out, and she knows that can't happen without trial and effort. She doesn't mind fixing relationships, she thinks it's a mature thing to do, and something you have to be willing to do to have a happy and healthy relationship.

Suzanne- Healthy and loving relationships are alienic to her. Her mom and dad divorced after one of her sisters were born. And her mom remarried quickly and had another kid. That marriage ended fast as well. She wants to be able to communicate and explain her feelings but she ends up just being passive and rather submissive. She has a hard time sticking up for herself when it comes to romance. So she avoids fixing relationships, and lets her partner take control of that kind of thing.

☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon

Ivy Nicole- Ivy Nicole loves a good breeze. Something about living in a place with humidity and clouds means a lot to her. She likes sitting on the grass and lounging on her arms letting the breeze muss up her hair. It's calming for her.

Harvey- He loves the way freshly washed sheets feel. Soft and comforting. Warm. He loves cotton and how soft it feels against his skin. But also silk and how cool it is. Fabric has always been a comfort of his.

Ernesto- He will never admit it, but since he's got out of prison, he likes to go look at flowers and other floral things. His mom really likes flowers and since she's not living in New Bordeaux anymore, it makes him feel close to her. He misses her dearly and phone calls just aren't enough.

Juanita- When she is alone she hums to herself. It's always been a way for her to calm her nerves. She does it sometimes when she's in her classroom alone but she's always worried a student will hear.

Suzanne- She loves being outdoors at night. She can sit on her porch for hours just looking at the moon and stats. It's calming and something she and her sisters used to do often.
